Bucovina Estur, Suceava

Bucovina Estur is a travel agency in Suceava and they can arrange car, driver, lodging for tours to see the painted monasteries and other wonders of north-central Romania.

Hint: There is at least one fast, very nice train that goes from Bucharest to Brashov and straight on north towards the Eastern Carpathian Mountains. I bet that Teddy could arrange for a car / driver to come down from Suceava, cross the Carpathians and pick up people at some convenient town along this rail line. The alternative is to take roundabout rail lines to the west or the east to skirt the tallest mountains.

Work this out with Teddy in advance and you can probably save a lot of hassel. The railroad ticket offices in Romania are not very helpful. Private travel agencies don't sell rail tickets, and they don't seem interested in helping you buy the tickets direct.
